Docobo’s National User Group blog
Adrian Flowerday talks us through Docobo’s national user group which took place virtually on 10th June 2021.
‘10th June was a really special day for the team at Docobo, when we held our first ‘virtual’ national user group. This was a great opportunity to get Docobo and all our clients together – albeit not in the same room – after being apart for so long. 2021 is also the year of our 20th Anniversary, so this seemed like a really great opportunity to catch up, to share our ideas and thoughts and to listen to our clients’ successes. And what a day it was!
The feedback from attendees was really positive, we have a new Docobo User Group Chair and the overall feedback from users that answered the question, was that 100% of Docobo users would recommend Docobo solutions! (Sorry, had to get that in somewhere!)
100% of Docobo users would recommend Docobo solutions!
I’d thought I’d share an overview of the day, and some of our fabulous clients and presenters, who we are so grateful to for their collaborative approach and support.
We started off the day by voting in our new Docobo User Group Chair, a resounding landslide victory for Dave Horsfield, from Liverpool CCG, who was able to jump straight in with his ideas and thoughts for future events, as well as his experiences as a Docobo User. We’re delighted to have Dave on board, who will be able to shape the events and participation going forward.
Rob Halhead, our COO, spoke about what Docobo has recently released and upcoming and imminent releases.
We then went on to share some of our exciting new developments and our roadmap (for clients’ ears only!) and also had some interactive voting in order to enable our clients to vote on which areas of development they would like to see first. This will really help us to shape and inform our developments – and it’s so great to have such positive feedback and comments from such esteemed colleagues.
Our first client presenter was Peter Almond, Programme Manager of the Health Technology and Access Services at Mersey Care who gave a fantastic presentation about the work going on in Liverpool on patient monitoring, which is a mature project, but ramped up during the pandemic – enabling the telehealth nurses at their hub to respond to COVID-specific enquiries, as well as rolling out lots more remote monitoring equipment to many new patients and developing virtual wards and Oximetry@home programmes.
Rebecca Watson-Morse, Commissioning Programme Lead, at the London Borough of Bexley then spoke to us about their massively successful roll out of remote monitoring across care homes in Bexley – with some great examples and case studies of how they had managed the process.
The presentations culminated with Roma Holland and Dr Mehwish Qureshi of Warwickshire North CCG who talked us through the successes of their roll out across care homes in Warwickshire – and how working with clinicians and care homes closely throughout the deployment enabled them to tweak processes ‘on the go’.
Attendees were impressed with our client presentations, which managed to convey so much about the collaborative process of deploying remote monitoring and were so informative for our other clients who are in similar situations.
Throughout the day we interspersed Questions and Answers which our presenters were able to respond to where time allowed.
There was inevitably a lot of discussion around how COVID-19 had shaped and accelerated digital take up – as well as how remote patient monitoring had really helped.
We’re so grateful to our clients and presenters for taking time out of their extremely busy schedules to join us – we have videos and overviews, so if you are interested in finding out more, please do contact us on info@docobo.co.uk.
We’re really looking forward to the next event when we hope to reintroduce an element of ‘in real life’ to the proceedings through a ‘hybrid’ approach, which we hope to run with in the new year. If you’d like to find out more about this and for an invite to future user group meetings, please email us at info@docobo.co.uk.
