Equal Opportunity Policy

Version 1.2

Policy

The Company provides equal opportunities for all existing employees and job applicants. The policy is to ensure that:

  • No employee or job applicant receives less favourable treatment than another on the grounds of race, colour or ethnic origin, sex or marital status, disability or sexual
    orientation.
  • No employee or job applicant is placed at a disadvantage by requirements or conditions which have disproportionately adverse effects on his or her particular group and cannot
be shown to be necessary to the satisfactory completion of the job.
  • Entry into the Company and progress within it will be determined solely by the application of objective criteria, personal performance and merit.
  • Encouragement and assistance is given in the employment of disabled people, their recruitment, training, career development and promotion, and the retention of people
    who become disabled.

This Policy is closely linked to the Sex Discrimination Acts and the Race Relations Act.

Please Note:
Company Policy requires all vacancies to be advertised internally first and all applicants to those vacancies to be interviewed. All unsuccessful applicants should be told the reasons why they did not get the job.
